Our community partners
Saint James is pleased to share our building with a number of outstanding community organizations. They're not specifically ministries of our church, but we like to claim them as part of the family because we're proud of them and the work they do. We encourage you to support them.
The Denver and District Pipe Band
The Denver and District Pipe Band is a group of bagpipers, drummers and dancers from throughout the Front Range. They compete, perform, entertain, educate and bring Celtic culture and art to life. They practice at St. James every Monday, 6-9 p.m., and at least once a year they come on Sunday morning to play at our worship service.
ABC Quilts of Colorado
ABC Quilts of Colorado is a group of more than 70 volunteers who make quilts for children in crisis or in need. Over the past 20 years, they have donated more than 20,000 handmade quilts to social services, women's safe houses, teen mom centers, homeless family shelters and emergency rooms. They meet two Thursdays a month in our parish hall, and you'll see some of their beautiful handiwork gracing our walls.
Community Bible Study
This is an ecumenical Bible study founded in Bethesda, Md., in 1975. Today, the classes are offered in more than 700 sites nationwide and in 80 countries. It is open to all, regardless of denomination or religious background. The group meets at St. James every Tuesday, 7-8:30 p.m.
West Denver Suzuki Strings
For more than 50 years, children have been learning to master musical instruments using the acclaimed Suzuki Method, which emphasizes loving encouragement, constant repetition and parent involvement. Saint James is proud to host classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
